Dos Cielos has a new edition

Humberto Canale and Bodega Lagarde come together again to present Dos Cielos, a blend of red grapes that was born in 2004 and was a pioneering project that blended grapes from terroirs as extreme as Cuyo and Patagonia. Today, both wineries announce the release of the second vintage of this creation.

Bodega Lagarde has 124 years of history and is located in Mendoza, while Humberto Canale was foundes 112 years ago, located in Río Negro. Both are family-owned wineries, that produce wines from old vineyards, following a strong commitment to the earth and the environment.

Lagarde belongs to the Pescarmona family, it is one of the first wineries founded in Mendoza by the visionaries who brought viticulture to the Cuyo region and has vineyards dating back to 1906.  While Humberto Canale is owned by the Barzi Canale family, who are pioneers in wine production in Patagonia and have vineyards dating back to 1937.

The 2019 vintage is mainly made up of Malbec. The elaboration of this wine was traditional, indigenous yeasts were used and it was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Only 6.000 bottles were made.

Dos Cielos 2019 is dark ruby ​​red, clean and bright. It is aromatically intense and very complex, with notes of ripe red and black fruits as well as jam. On the palate it is a wine with fine tannins and good acidity, which give it a firm structure. It is persistent and has a long finish.
