Lagarde Organic Malbec: the purest and most authentic expression of our century-old vineyards

We are pleased to anounce that Lagarde Organic Malbec 2018, which comes from century-old vineyards in Mayor Drummond (Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza) where Bodega Lagarde is located, is now on the market.

This release belongs to the same range of wines as the Organic Rosé, composed of Semillón and Malbec, that we launched last year.

This Malbec is characterized by its freshness and balance. This line of organic wines, named Lagarde Organic, was certified by the OIA (Organización Internacional Agropecuaria), a pioneer Argentine company specialiced in certification and highly recognized for its national and international trajectory.

The result is fresh, seductive, honest and elegant wines. In the case of this Malbec, it is a balanced and subtle wine, with friendly tannins, with very good volume and roundness.

"We present this organic Malbec, reaffirming the historic commitment we maintan at Lagarde: to take care of the land and its people. With each of our new releases, this promise we have always kept gets stronger and stronger. This is a one way road and, although our winery is more than 122 years old, we feel that we are only just beginning", explained Sofía Pescarmona, CEO and co-owner of Lagarde Winery.

Meanwhile, Juan Cristóbal Roby, winemaker who gave life to this wine, added: "This organic Malbec is the most authentic and pure expression of our century-old vineyards. It has a young, fresh and fruity style that we love".

Finally, Sebastián Barboza, general manager of the winery, added: "The reception that these wines have had on the market exceeded our expectations. We gave life to a conceptually coherent range that has a lot of character. The Rosé of Semillón and Malbec sold out a few months after its launch and we trust that this Malbec will go in the same direction".

The release of this malbec coincides with the recent announcement that Bodega Lagarde was certified as a B Corporation by B Lab, a global organization whose core is based on the belief that companies can be agents of change and contribute to the solution of the great social and environmental problems. Thanks to this certification, Lagarde became the oldest winery in America and the largest in Latin America to join the global community of B Corporations.
