Sister's Selection Chardonnay Unoaked

Sofía and Lucila, the two sisters in charge of the winery, decided to release a 600-bottle batch of the best expression of Chardonnay.

Sister's Selection Chardonnay Unoaked is the result of having studied Chardonnay and its different winemaking processes involved, which Sofía and Lucila have been taking care of for a long time now. Their taste for white wines and their continuous trips to Burgundy had them easily recognize in this varietal the potential for high quality they had been seeking for their white wines.

Sofía, in charge of creative decisions at Bodega Lagarde, belives this wine is another element in their quest for great white wines—a quest that comprises many blends, multiple microvinifications, different oak nuances, macerations, fermentations, etc. until obtaining the intended result. The batch consists of 600 bottles, a number that seemed perfect for their designers to showcase an unoaked white wine that will only get better with time, and will keep its lightness, acidity and elegance.

Thinking about a wine as a team of two is a creative process involving opposites, where each of us gets to shape her idea.

After sharing their thoughts and tastes, they focus on some ideas while discarding the less developed ones. In their words, this was an interesting process they very much enjoyed as sisters as well.
